John Mccain says no to Abortion rights

  1. John McCain voted against establishing a national holiday in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Now he says his position has “evolved,” yet he’s continued to oppose key civil rights laws.1
  2. According to Bloomberg News, McCain is more hawkish than Bush on Iraq, Russia and China. Conservative columnist Pat Buchanan says McCain “will make Cheney look like Gandhi.”2
  3. His reputation is built on his opposition to torture, but McCain voted against a bill to ban waterboarding, and then applauded President Bush for vetoing that ban.3
  4. McCain opposes a woman’s right to choose. He said, “I do not support Roe versus Wade. It should be overturned.”4
  5. The Children’s Defense Fund rated McCain as the worst senator in Congress for children. He voted against the children’s health care bill last year, then defended Bush’s veto of the bill.5
  6. He’s one of the richest people in a Senate filled with millionaires. The Associated Press reports he and his wife own at least eight homes! Yet McCain says the solution to the housing crisis is for people facing foreclosure to get a “second job” and skip their vacations.6
  7. Many of McCain’s fellow Republican senators say he’s too reckless to be commander in chief. One Republican senator said: “The thought of his being president sends a cold chill down my spine. He’s erratic. He’s hotheaded. He loses his temper and he worries me.”7
  8. McCain talks a lot about taking on special interests, but his campaign manager and top advisers are actually lobbyists. The government watchdog group Public Citizen says McCain has 59 lobbyists raising money for his campaign, more than any of the other presidential candidates.8
  9. McCain has sought closer ties to the extreme religious right in recent years. The pastor McCain calls his “spiritual guide,” Rod Parsley, believes America’s founding mission is to destroy Islam, which he calls a “false religion.” McCain sought the political support of right-wing preacher John Hagee, who believes Hurricane Katrina was God’s punishment for gay rights and called the Catholic Church “the Antichrist” and a “false cult.”9
  10. He positions himself as pro-environment, but he scored a 0—yes, zero—from the League of Conservation Voters last year.10

I feel it necessary to mention or to expose things to America that John Mccain doesn’t want to talk about. It is funny to see all the publicity made about Barack Obama and his associations. People mention every sort of unimaginable story. I’m not having it on my blog site. Here is the truth for once regarding this campaign. Barack is too nice to point out this stuff, be we will do it behalf of him. No problem for me, it’s what I do. Expose the truth.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Obama may have won this debate…

October 8, 2008 by erickacourtney

Although they are finished, Obama definitely showed that he is more approachable and that he is more willing to address the true issues. Mccain brushes the issues off as “things to take care of, meanwhile Obama speaks of them as flesh entities. Obama addresses them directly as calling then by name. Obama spoke on education and that was impressive. As a potential student, student loans is important. I appreciate the stand that was taken tonight. Mccain threw a few cheap shots and attempted to show a personality, but clearly this crowd was not fueled by his humor. What a spectacle?

Mccain clearly needs to step up his game. This campaign is getting serious and he needs to get ready. Can he keep up?

John Mccain, Barack Obama

October 8, 2008 by erickacourtney

Foreign policy. What is the Obama doctrine for use of force? Obama says that we have a moral obligation. He speaks of  genocide and ethnic cleansing and if we stand idly by, that that speaks negatively of us. Obama speaks of a peace troop in Darfur that stops the violence in that locale. Obama also says that we can’t be everywhere.

Mccain, states that he will bring the troops home in victory, unlike Obama. Mccain says we need to understand so many times we’ve left countries in defeat. Mccain says that the security of our troops is his first priority. Mccain says that we need to say no to another holocaust.

Obama says that we made a bad judgement going into Pakistan, we should have been searching for Laden. Instead he has set up more camps. Obama states that terrorist are setting up to kill more Americans right now. Obama says that we need to end the drug trade that supports the terrorist groups. Obama says that if we have Osama in our sites and we will kill Bin laden and crush Alquieda. That is a goal.

Mccain says that he will attack a country, but that he would not announce it publicly. Mccain states that he would not have done such a thing, or you end up with these sorts of results as we have now. Mccain says that we need to help the government of Pakistan. We need to get the people to work with us and have them help us attack the problem of the Taliban.

Obama says that we will attack if the Pakistani government  is not able to do so in finding Bin Laden. Obama sucker punches Mccain with the song that Mccain spoke of. Bom Iran, next Baghdad. Mccain denies these comments. Mccain states that he was joking with an old veteran friend. Then he brushed off the comment.

The conversation goes on. There should not be a winner in this case, It is totally a matter of the issues and you can tell that Mccain listened to his critics. My person opinion, I hate the idea of a spending freeze, neither do I like the idea of making a person get insurance. However as long as you the president have a way for even the lowest income family to be covered then I am all for it. Spending freeze, I can’t clean that up one bit and I won’t try. Maybe some of the republican viewers can see this and send in an intelligent reply.

John McCain on the run…Barack doing the chasing.

October 8, 2008 by erickacourtney

These two face off tonight and it will be a wonderful debate. I expect more lies to be told and more “oversight” talk. I expect more blame and more lame attacks. We all expect those things. The biggest topic tonight may just be the economy once again. Barack addresses an audience member relating to the deregulation of the financial system. Barack is also addressing the statements regarding his regulation request a year ago. Barack Obama states that he never supported the Fannie Mae disaster. John McCain states that he is doing what it takes to stabilize this economy. Barack Obama states that he is confident that the economy will be stabilized in time. Barack also requests that families be able to stay in their homes. John McCain states that the economy will get worse before it gets better, but he says that that solely depends on the actions of our government. John calls Americans innocent bystanders in this thing. “How can we trust either of you with our money, when both parties got us into this global economic problem?” Barack is the first to respond to the question. Mentioning that when Bush entered the office, we had surplus, now look at the deficit. Obama states that McCain voted for 4 out of 5 of Bush’s spending policies. Obama states that we cannot continue to borrow from the Chinese. Barack states that his plan is cutting more than it is spending. McCain, on the same subject. The system in Washington is broken. Mccain states that he has been a reformer in this problem. McCain states that he is a leader in bi partisanship. McCain states that we look at our record as well as our rhetoric. McCain states that he understands the concern. McCain states that Obama voted for Trillions of dollars in pork barrel spending. McCain says that we need to drill off shore and he will fix our economy and will stop sending billions of dollars overseas. One small note from the writer, does John McCain walk with a limp, just something noted in the debate. Mccain speaks about his record in alternative fuels, he speaks of all the issues we can conquer in this country, McCain wants to do all plans at once. Energy, Healthcare, and terrorist, plus the economy. Barack Obama says that he will priortize just the same way that a family has to decide, he wants Education, Healthcare, and the economy. He states that Mccain likes to talk about earmarks alot, but Obama states that he wants to revise our spending in earmarks. He wants to sit down and go over the budget and prioritize our spending. John Mccain, what sacrifice will you ask of the American people? Mccain, Understand there are some programs that we must eliminate. Mccain states that he reccommends a spending freeze. He wants everything cut with the exception of a few things. He states that he knows that it will be difficult, but that this freeze is necessary to control spending.  Obama states in his reply that Bush stated that we should after 9/11 to “go out and shop.” Obama states that this is not the sort of thing you need to say to the American people. Obama states that his sacrifice would be is to tell people that we make our homes fuel efficient, he wants to give incentives to families for bringing this energy effieciency into their homes. Obama wants to assist military families. Obama, how will you break the bad habits of spending. Obama states that it starts with Washington, if we are running up trillion dollar debts and then passing it on to the next generation. That’s a irresponsible thing to do. We need to teach them how to lead. Obama brings up the issue of teachers in this country and the lack of substantial pay that they receive. Obama says that he disagrees with Mccain with an across the board freeze. Obama calls that a disservice to this country. Obama states that he wants to use a chisel and sort through the spending to ensure the right programs get the funding needed. Mccain attacks Obama and his tax plan, he says that he will give every American a 5,000 dollar tax credit refund to every American. Mccain states that he is not in favor of raising taxes on the rich, but that he is favorable to lower taxes on the middle class. Obama speaks of his tax plan. Obama states that he wants to provide a tax cut for 95 percent of Americans. Only a few percent of small businesses make 1/4 million a year. Therefore, Obama says that mostly every small business will get a break in taxes. Obama states that most small business owners can barely afford insurance. Mccain says that he will find it easy to fix Medicare. Mccain states that Ronald Reagan did it and he will too.  Mccain believes that the American people will want social security to fix this thing. Mccain states that Obama fought 94 times against taxes. Mccain what will you do in the first 2 years to help with green jobs? Mccain addresses the fact that we are in hard times, he mentions his travel with Lieberman, he tells how he spoke to America and believes that the secret is nuclear power. He mentions the Japanese and many others do it, but he says that Obama opposes this. He believes that this will create jobs. Obama states that it is absolutely critical that we understand the challenge and the opportunity. Obama states that we will have to make an investment. He states that he calls for nuclear power, solar, and a host of other energy sources,( Paraphrase here) Obama states that Mccain voted 24 times against alternative energy. Obama also mentions Mccain and his drilling. Obama states that we cannot drill ourselves out of this problem. Obama states that China needs energy and we need to help them create it. Manhattan project/vs Garages in silicon valley? McCain states Offshore drilling is vital and is a national security issue. Mccain debate the supply demand strategy. last question posed only to Mccain. Do you believe healthcare should be treated as a commodity. Obama states that it breaks family budgets, and he says that copays are increasing. He states that it’s crushing for the small business owner. Obama plans to allow you to keep your plan, and you keep you doctor, you will also see a 2500 dollar decrease in your plan annually. No insurance, you will get the same insurance that the white house gets. Obama wants to make sure that your mammograms and preexisting conditions are covered. Obama believes that we need someone fighting for patients. Mccain believes that mandates will be posed by Obama. He states that he want to allow you to go across state lines and let you choose. He ensures that he will give a rebate of 5,000 dollars to every insurance holder. He then mentions something relating to a cadillac. No idea. Mccain believes that healthcare is a responsibility. Mccain does not like the idea of mandates on insurance. Obama believes that healthcare is a right. He brings up his mother and explains that lack of care because of preexisting condition. Obama says keep your policy if you like it. Obama says that parents need to make sure that they have healthcare. He doesn’t like the idea of children going to the ER for asthma, every child is to be insured. Obama states that we should crack down on companies that don’t deliver on the promises to the insured. Obama has a problem with shopping for insurance state to state. Mccain attempts to get a laugh from the crowd, unsuccessful. These viewers in the forum are totally stone faced, they are serious.
